Master of AI, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates 1memo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our site, use our mobile apps, join the waitlist, choose to receive the separate Master of AI newsletter, or purchase a 1memo+ subscription.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the account identifier and profile information that provider makes available, such as your name, email address, or profile photo. Apple may provide a private relay email address. We use this information to create and manage one 1memo account across the web, iPhone, and Android apps.
Subscription & Billing Information
1memo+ purchases are processed by Stripe on the web, Apple through the App Store on iPhone, or Google through Google Play on Android. We do not store your card number or full payment details on our servers. We retain the provider identifiers, transaction references, subscription status, plan type, and billing-period dates needed to verify access on every signed-in surface. If you submit a supported refund or billing-overlap request, we also store your explanation, request status, supporting transaction references, and the administrator's decision and reasoning. Generated refund evidence is template-based and is not sent to an AI provider.
Preferences
We store whether you separately opt in to FatherPhi's Master of AI newsletter. The internal 1memo recap workflow is not offered as a public consumer subscription. We also store your selected AI app interests, onboarding progress, archive presentation preference, and delivery settings needed to personalize your experience.
Notifications
If you enable daily notifications, we store a device push token, platform and delivery-capability information, and the selected local notification time. The device holds staged notification content and presents it at the time you choose. You can disable notifications or change the time in app settings or system settings.
Automatically Collected Information
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible provides aggregate statistics (page views, referral sources, device type) without tracking individual users.
We use Sentry for error monitoring to detect and fix technical issues. When an error occurs, Sentry may collect technical information about your device, browser, and the error itself. This data is used solely for debugging.
For free-tier readers, we may use Google AdSense on the web and Google AdMob in our mobile apps to provide advertisements. Depending on your region, choices, device settings, and Google's ad delivery, Google may process device or browser identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, and similar information to deliver, measure, limit, and prevent fraud in ads. We request consent where required before a mobile ad request. 1memo+ readers do not load our advertising integrations.
If a signed-in free reader explicitly selects FatherPhi as an interested source, we use that saved choice and an account-wide campaign count to show a FatherPhi membership sponsor card for up to four app or browser sessions. We store the account, campaign, platform, placement, time, and a one-way hash of an ephemeral session identifier. We do not store the raw session identifier in that campaign record or send your saved 1memo interest selection to Google in an ad request. The card is an advertisement for a separate membership and does not unlock or discount 1memo+. If you separately connect Discord, we use the membership status projected to 1memo to avoid inviting a known active member to join; we do not share that status with Google.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies, all essential to site functionality:
- Session cookie— Keeps you signed in. HTTP-only, expires after 30 days.
- OAuth state cookies— Temporary cookies used during sign-in to prevent cross-site request forgery. Automatically deleted after 10 minutes.
When advertising is enabled for a free-tier reader, Google may use cookies or similar technologies as described above and in the consent choices available to that reader. We do not load the Google advertising integration for 1memo+ readers. Essential authentication cookies remain separate from advertising choices.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and manage your session
- To verify and manage your 1memo+ subscription across providers
- To deliver the separate Master of AI newsletter only when you opt in via Beehiiv
- To personalize content based on your selected interests
- To choose, frequency-limit, deliver, and measure free-tier advertisements
- To stage and schedule daily device notifications when enabled
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To monitor and fix technical errors
Third-Party Services
We share information with the following services as necessary to operate 1memo:
- Google— Authentication via Google OAuth. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple— Sign in with Apple, App Store subscription processing, and Apple Push Notification service. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe— Web payment processing for 1memo+ subscriptions. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play— Android subscription processing and purchase verification. Subject to Google's privacy policies linked above.
- Google AdSense and Google AdMob— Advertising for free-tier readers, including ad delivery, measurement, frequency limiting, consent management, security, and fraud prevention. Subject to Google's privacy policy linked above.
- Beehiiv— Newsletter delivery. If you opt in to the Master of AI newsletter, your email address is shared with that publication's separate Beehiiv audience. Subject to Beehiiv's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel— Website hosting and deployment.
- Google Cloud— Database hosting (Cloud SQL).
- Plausible Analytics— Privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics.
- Sentry— Error monitoring and performance tracking.
AI-Generated Content
Our daily digests are generated with the assistance of AI models (including Google Gemini and OpenAI). These models process publicly available news and release information to create summaries. Your personal information is not sent to AI providers as part of content generation.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).
Stripe, Apple, and Google retain payment records in accordance with their own data-retention policies and applicable financial regulations.
The first-party FatherPhi sponsor frequency record is retained with your account so the four-session cap works across devices, and is deleted when the account is deleted. Google retains advertising and consent data under its own settings, policies, and legal obligations.
Under the current account-deletion workflow, the app deletes its refund-request queue and audit events together with local billing history. Payment providers may retain their own transaction and refund records under their policies and legal obligations.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the Master of AI newsletter at any time
- Use available ad privacy choices where required in your region
- Request a portable copy of your data

Children's Privacy
1memo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
